I'm currently using landwatch.com to search for land in my home state of georgia. Or are there other ways to find land (public. My husband and i are going to be first time homesteaders and first time home buyers.just wondering what are the best places ( besides zillow ) to look for places. Mexico is right there for cheap medications and dental. This advice applies to usa only. I've been on the search for a small piece of land. I'm in the stage where i currently homestead vicariously through this sub and other online resources, but www.landwatch.com seems to be a great site for land and such.

It is high desert at 4,000 feet so the winters and summers are not terrible. I learned that many counties across the nation have tax sales/auctions. I used landwatch.com to find my property. But other than being careful and doing due diligence landwatch has been a great tool.
