Recently i've been finding more on zillow if you're looking for smaller parcels. My husband and i are going to be first time homesteaders and first time home buyers.just wondering what are the best places ( besides zillow ) to look for places. I wanted to know more about the process of buying from land watch.

I'm currently using landwatch.com to search for land in my home state of georgia. I learned that many counties across the nation have tax sales/auctions. It is high desert at 4,000 feet so the winters and summers are not terrible.
I used landwatch.com to find my property.
I've been on the search for a small piece of land. When a property becomes delinquent in tax payments, the county reclaims the property and auctions. This advice applies to usa only. I would caution that i've also seen more than.
One site i've seen is. I'm in the stage where i currently homestead vicariously through this sub and other online resources, but www.landwatch.com seems to be a great site for land and such. Mexico is right there for cheap medications and dental. Are there any other websites like landwatch?
But other than being careful and doing due diligence landwatch has been a great tool.

Even if you don't trust it to find land, you can use it to locate the cheaper areas of each. Or are there other ways to find land (public. Has anyone used landwatch to buy their homestead?
