I've been able to stream my desktop at home even in 4k with 'best audio/video. Anydesk seemed to be the solution, but its permissions problems and slow mouse control was very annoying and expensive to operate. For windows users, start up windows in safe mode or disable (stop) the anydesk service via services.msc, delete the directories, then reenable the service.

So this is a relatively recent thing & nothing was changed that i know in any of my anydesk settings when it started. I've been using anydesk regularly for a couple months now, and it's been working very well. In the meantime as a workaround.
